How to Prevent Acne

5 Tips to Prevent Acne

Here's the deal. I've struggled with acne since I became a teenager. Don't we all? So I wanted to share a few tips to prevent acne on your face.

First of all, what is acne?
Acne is a disease that affects the skin’s oil glands. The small holes in your skin (pores) connect to oil glands under the skin. These glands make an oily substance called sebum. The pores connect to the glands by a canal called a follicle. Inside the follicles, oil carries dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. A thin hair also grows through the follicle and out to the skin. When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows.

So yeah, basically clogged pores.
Alright, now time for the tips.

Tip #1:
Avoid too much sugar. Sugar increases hormones that stimulate sebum production and skin cell growth. Which in turn, causes clogged pores/acne. Eat a well-balanced diet with lots of Fruits and Vegetables.

Tip #2:
Pillow Cases. Pillow cases contain lots of bacteria gross germs, and oils. By changing your pillow case once a week, you will get rid of those bacteria, germs, and oils that were previously smeared on there by your face and hair. I also recommend Silk Pillow cases.

Tip #3:
Wash your face. Use a cleanser for your skin type. If you have oily skin avoid Milk Cleansers. (Try a foam cleanser.) If you have dry skin, use a moisturizing cleanser. (Avoid Foaming cleanser.)

Tip #4:
Do not touch your face. Really. Touching your face leaves germs, oils, and food from your hands, and increase clogging pores. Try to keep your hands clean, and AVOID touching your face.

Tip #5:
Shower with cold Water. Cold water keeps pores closed, therefore preventing clogged pores.

There ya go! I hope you enjoyed my 5 Tips to prevent acne. Hope these help! :)

Why no one should make fun of a mental Illness. Check out below:
The, well population just doesn't understand what it is to be unwell. They demonstrate this heartily by repeatedly saying the worst things possible to a person with a mental illness.

Worst Things to Say to a Person With a Mental Illness

Here are some of the worst things to say to a depressed person or really anyone with a mental illness.
  1. Snap out of it.
  2. There are a lot of people worse off than you.
  3. You have so many things to be thankful for, how can you be depressed?
  4. You’d feel better if you got off all those pills
  5. What doesn’t kill us makes us strongr
  6. Go out and have some fun
  7. I know how you feel
  8. So you’re depressed, aren't you always?
  9. This too shall pass
  10. We all have our crosses to bear
And as a bonus, my personal favorite: We create our own reality.
Ugh. (I’m not the only one thinking about this.)
Why these are stupid things to say
Any of those statements shows that you have no idea what you’re talking about. You fundamentally do not understand the concept of a mental illness if you think any one of these are appropriate. I suggest trying it with other physical health problems and see how you feel.
Hey, diabetic, snap out of it.
Hey, epileptic, I know how you feel.
Hey, paraplegic, so you can’t use your legs, isn’t that always the case?
Hey, person with multiple sclerosis, we create our own reality.
You get the idea. No one would think that is reasonable, and it’s no more reasonable just becase you can’t see the illness because it’s in their brain.
These Are Hurtful Things to Say
And perhaps worse than showing ignorance, these things even inflict pain on the person you’re trying to “help”. You are saying that:
  1. They could choose not to be sick if they really wanted
  2. Their illness is not serious
  3. They have no "reason" to be ill.
  4. Their treatment is wrong.
  5. They’ll be better off from it
  6. They would be fine if they would just “go out”
  7. Their illness is minimal
  8. Their pain doesn’t matter
  9. They should just wait for the pain to end
  10. Their illness is just like anyone else’s problem
  11. They choose to be sick
Again, I dare you to tell a person with any other illness any of those things. (NOT)
And lest we forget, the mentally ill person in front of you is already probably feeling very bad about themselvs, and you have chosen to go and make it worse.

Hair care. :)

Ok, so I have been trying to get my hair too look really shiny and nice, and sooo I came up with, (well more like copied) a way to get it nice a healthy/shiny looking.

Step one:

Wash hair thoroughly, squeeze to let all the excess water out.
My hair is damp there. :)

Step Two:

Rub in 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil, the kind I use is in the picture below. (Melt the coconut oil if desired.)

Step Three:
Let the Coconut oil sit in you hair for about 1 to 2 hours, I put a towel over mine.

Step Four:
Rinse out and wash with conditioner only. It might take a while to get the Coconut oil all the way out.

Tips:
I usually do this 2 hours before my night shower. :)
Put a towel around your hair.
Do not blow dry your hair after doing this.
Only use conditioner, not shampoo right after this. :)
You can put a egg in it too. :)
Do not melt the egg with the Coconut oil. :)
